There is a reason Long plays. A run saved is as good as a run scored. CF’er plays a mile deep and lets everything drop in front of him and still drops an easy ball going back.

It’s not a good sign when Notre dame completely dictates an entire series against you with a true freshman on the mound. I’d like to see a lot more grit at the plate.
