Yea I heard that too. No one was picking Miami nor were they interested in even talking about them as a possible threat to anyone. I'm sure they don't really scare anyone. They're a tough team to figure out. They like close games apparently and hopefully they win a couple of those.

http://caneswatch.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2018/03/11/bruce-brown-not-expected-to-return-this-year-for-miami-hurricanes/ There's the full story. He won't be playing Thursday and is probably going to be shut down for the season. Awesome.

It's just Loyola from the MVC but I did read that had they lost in the finals of their tournament they would have been tough to keep out. They can definitely beat Miami. No doubt about that.

Ranked the 27th best team out of the 68 total. Loyola is ranked 48th. It's just one man's opinion but it's fun to read!

Loyola has won their last 10 games and 17 of 18. They shoot just shy of 40% as a team from 3 and 56% from inside the arc. Luckily their tallest regular contributor is 6 foot 9. So not a lot of height. Gotta rebound the ball! Get extra possessions and make your own 3s. Will be a tough first...

Right. They will probably fall out. They haven't beaten anyone good except Gonzaga and it was on the road so definitely impressive. St Mary's is always in the tournament it seems and they've won some games once there. But the resume is not impressive.

Maybe because they have one good win on the season... Gonzaga. They haven't beaten anyone else worth mentioning. They just lost in their conference tourney and didn't even make the finals. They're a solid team but they don't have the greatest resume.

Yes UNC had a great season in and out of the ACC but they finished season losing 2 in a row and usually that'll knock you down more than 3 spots in the rankings. The rankings are all about what you have done lately. UNC doesn't have any bad losses in conference but their worst loss of the season...

Yes they were before yesterday's game but there's no way he moves us back. Beating another tourney bound team warrants a move up. And I'm good being a 6th seed.

So reading the latest update from Lunardi and he has Miami as a 7 vs Alabama as a 10. Purdue is the 2 seed we could face in round 2. Now I think Miami should be higher but I don't think this includes VTech win yesterday. But he has Arizona State as a 9 on the rise. They have won One game in...

Maybe. He was soo good at the beginning of the season but has struggled mightily in conference play and of late the last 10 games. I don't see them making it unless they win their tourney.

Haha Oklahoma won't even make the tourney unless they win their own tourney and get an automatic bid. They have really collapsed as has Arizona State.

Every season every team wins games they shouldn't win and they lose games they shouldn't lose. Good thing about this season is no really bad out of conference loss. And 7 losses in conference and only 2 or 3 we probably should have won. But didn't. There isn't a really crippling loss that'd keep...

I hear you. I agree we should have beaten GTech and BC even though they were road games. But road games are tough to win and this is a young team. But I do think those 2 games should have been wins. Syracuse too but the zone kills us.

    Bracketology

You think losing to Syracuse was a bad loss? How bad was it?
  17. L

    Bracketology

Because winning on the road anywhere isn't easy and Syracuse is a legit bubble team. It isn't like they're Pitt who has zero wins in acc. The acc is so close from 3 to 11 only separated by a few games. Syracuse was a game we should have won but you know we can't beat the zone. It's not really a...

I don't really want to be a 5 seed. 12 5 upsets happen too often for me to want to be a 5 seed lol. Although it seems that that upset has calmed down the last few years. But still I'd be fine being a 6.

We've beaten some solid teams such as Middle Tenn, FSU, LVille, NCState and VTech. Our losses aren't even that bad... Not like many other teams out there. New Mexico St is 24 and 5 and not a bad loss. Losses on the road in conference aren't considered bad even at GTech and BC. Syracuse at home...

Because they were on a 6 game win streak and beat better teams than Miami.
