    Yep. I think I read he interviewed for Michigan’s DC job within the last week. Don’t know if they just went with the guy from Vandy over him or if he chose to stay in the NFL

    This is true. Lots of teams turning to the off-field special teams coordinator. Not sure how that works on game day with calls but I think we go that route too - keeping smith off field. QB, TE, LB, and then probably another defensive hire - either OLB/nickel, CB, or DE

    Announced as DC and didn’t mention being LB coach. Bet that’s our extra defensive hire

    Got a feeling this was something that went from 0-100 in the last 2-3 days. Definitely after the Maryland news came up for Steele
