Two freshmen got AB's in 2017: Amditis (before his injury) and Baldor. Tell me with a straight face that we were better off in 2018 after giving AB's to Burns, Davison, Batista, Tackett, and Gali than we would have been if we actually brought in more than two position players the year before.

Bottom line: instead of bringing in more freshmen to fill those obviously open spots, the staff wanted a quick fix and brought in the wrong JUCO guys who wouldn't be around two years later.

Who knows, because they are at other schools now since we brought in JUCO guys who batted just as poorly as any decent freshman would have.

So if "baseball" was the reason for losing games against good teams in 2015-16, why did we lose to good teams in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, and 2018?

You're thinking from a football mindset. Recruiting classes in baseball change every year at every school. You're not done recruiting in November.

Yeah, "baseball" has been our worst enemy, hasn't it. We've been mediocre for over a decade because of those darn bad bounces. When that happens in a series, yeah, bad luck. When it happens for ten years, it's time to examine the program.

*Your Right, it takes a little foresight to manage the roster. And there is no such thing as a class that has "already signed". Baseball recruiting is the most fluid of any sport.

You're in sports and you don't know what taking it on the chin means? Having a down year is common, even among elite programs. But most programs don't mangle it so badly that they turn it into two bad years.

Does it matter WHEN they screwed up the roster? Either way, they screwed up the roster. Instead of taking one on the chin for ONE year, they panicked and brought in bad JUCO players, which set us back for a SECOND year. This is painfully obvious, but you would never see that.

Or pure stats which show that we earned our national seed based on an overrated ACC.

And no one is afraid of you, either. You're a UM coach shill, no matter how bad they are.
