Sorry, worse winning percentage. Of course, that's the only thing you'll talk about. Any thoughts on RPI and SOS for those two years?

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

The 2016 team was mediocre. "LOOK AT THEIR RPI!!!!!" The 2018 team (#63) was worse than the 2017 team (#39). "FORGET RPI, THE 2018 TEAM HAD A HIGHER BATTING AVERAGE!!!!!"

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

Thanks, Lance Roffers and the rest of the stats crew, but the point is to win games, and to occasionally win games against good teams. The 2018 team was awful. That's why we finished #63 in your precious RPI.

Except that they did it against a weaker schedule AND lost more games.

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

This year's team was worse than last year's team. That's not debatable. This was the year for no expectations.

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

Before I embarrass you again, remember how many times you've leaned on the following statistics to establish how good we were in 2015 and 2016....... 2017 vs 2018 Better record: 2017 Tougher schedule: 2017 Better RPI: 2017 (by about 24 spots) The 2017 team, as bad as it was, missed the...

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

So we did not have a good program in 2017, which was a better team than the 2018 team. We have not had a good program for two years. Your words. Life comes at you fast.

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

The baseball team had a terrible roster in 2017. Even Mrs. Morris can admit that.

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

Yes, because those teams were mediocre. 2017 and 2018 were bad. Those teams were at least mediocre.

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

People had high expectations because Miami once had a great football program. Same with baseball. People who had high expectations for Jim Morris in 2017 were also delusional, but it doesn't mean they didn't have high expectations. Ease up on the logical fallacies. It shows your desperation...

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

That's easy. It was once a great program. People had high expectations for Al Golden's football team, but it wasn't a good program. The two ideas aren't mutually exclusive. Now we have people defending the staff after missing the entire tournament two years in a row.

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

Yeah, being owned by the #3 and #6 teams in Conference USA was probably a bigger indictment of the staff. But if you’re going to lose to them while also dropping games to CWS regulars Maine and Rutgers, then 16 ACC wins is in fact not enough.

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

Also, the Clemson momentum was short lived when we played Pitt and FIU, not when we played FSU.

    Recapping the 2018 Baseball Season

If you give up 56 unearned runs, you're not "unlucky", your defense sucks.
