    His point is that every single human life deserves just as mush respect and consideration as any other. That's what most people mean when the say all lives matter. It doesn't minimize the racism that many have experienced, it just means we are one human race.

    You mention the hedgerows, that was one of my father's stories. He remembers watching a Sherman tank hit one of those hedgerows at full speed and just stop. It tried again with the same result. They were so dense that they were like brick walls that would not give way..

    My father got to France in September 1944. With all the other sht he went through, he was still very thankful he missed D-Day.
