I would have got Chestnutt out this inning but maybe he’s next in line to be a starter so they want to keep him extended. He just looked like he started to labor a bit last inning

If Ziehl can give you 4 good innings Chestnutt comes in for 3ish and gives a much different look. It could work. But I just don’t know how often Ziehl is going to give you 4-5 good innings where he gives the ball to Chestnutt with only 2-3 runs on the board.

Ziehl is a 1-2 inning guy. Let him run it up to 95-97 for 2 innings. We need 2 of the young guys to grow up in a hurry. If he is going to stay on the starter roll JD better start getting him locked in with his secondary stuff because 90-93 and flat is no way to live in P5 baseball. Also...

Tall pitchers who move that quick down the mound tend to leave a lot of FB’s up. Tough to sync up the delivery over and over. Not sure how the ball is carrying but I could see us hitting 2-3 out off FB’s left up.

If we are a top 16 team, 2/3 this weekend is a must. Psu is better but still not great. But Rob has tough kids who won’t be in awe…and you know Rob wants this series bad.
