Spring PODCAST: 2021 Spring Buzz - Week 2 ft. D$

I watched a full game of his. He played LB in the 1st half and looked out of place. He was way more impactful on DL, even as a 4i tech (lined up on B gap not Edge). If Miami tried him at LB they'd come to the same conclusion his HS team came to - he's much better in a 3pt stance...

Yep it rapidly becomes obvious that he's an outlier when you watch his tape. Plays way bigger than his size and is talented beyond just raw athleticism. Glad the staff didn't take the cookie cutter approach.

This is what I wrote about Davis: Needless to say I strongly believe he's a DE. I also don't see him redshirting because he should be excellent on ST. Imo he's a more talented edge rusher than any of those guys except maybe Harvey so I wouldn't rule him out of the rotation.

My evaluation is that he's poor against the run/tackling and in 2020 he clearly lacked functional game speed in all aspects of the position. But he did look a lot faster the year prior, he's agile and apparently he's a student of the game even if his "IQ" has been overstated on here. There's a...

Spring PODCAST: 2021 Spring Buzz - Week 2 ft. D$

He was a lot faster prior to 2020. I think he put on too much bulk and it slowed him down. I'd like to see him trim back down to the 185 range. He's atrocious in run support regardless of what weight he is and he can't be trusted in man coverage, so his only path to the field is as a deep safety...

Spring PODCAST: 2021 Spring Buzz - Week 2 ft. D$

Knighton is struggling because he's behind in the footwork and processing department running between the tackles. It's a big adjustment going from athletic HS back who likes bouncing to space vs refined and precise college runner. Some never learn the nuances of the position. There's a reason...
