ASU is #1 in NCAA history for the most major violations. They are not a golden goose or blue blood. With the NIL and the major conference reorganizations showing how utterly useless the NCAA is, they are going to try to prove a reason to still exist. I predict they are going to annihilate ASU.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but is the hype for Jackson based mostly on his speed and not his LB abilities? I don't know much about him other than he's fast. Has he demonstrated elite LB skills (instincts, tackling ability, diagnosing plays, fight through traffic, eye discipline, etc) or...

You think WB and Medlock aren't a good class? Wow

Great about Medlock and WB. Can't complain. We will see what happens with ASU on Jackson. Ncaa looks so much more pathetic after the SEC stuff it will need to make a statement.

Medlock and Bissanthe is a good LB haul. That would be a Plan A elite LB and a Plan B solid LB. I have no issue with that.

I am a big Corey Flagg fan. Sometimes coaches and fans overthink the ILB position. Everyone wants a guy who is 6'3" 230 lbs and runs a 4.5 40. The main thing I want to do is "can he tackle." A highly motivated player can get stronger and faster if puts in the work. You can't really coach...

Not so fast, my friend. Oklahoma has a surfing machine at a water park. https://www.flowrider.com/location/surf-okc/

I think Medlock would be an ILB, Jackson would be a OLB/Striker. Both would be great (and I would love to see a class of WB, Medlock, and Jackson) but we have a bigger need for ILBs right now

A couple weeks ago, the narrative was that he was all ASU. A few posters with common sense pointed out that the impending ASU sanctions hadn't sunk in yet, and once they do he's not going to spend 3-4 years at a college that is going to be under heavy sanctions. Sure enough, now he's backed...

I am honestly shocked they have enough fans for a message board.

The other two things about the ASU violations that is all but guaranteed to result in massive penalties is 1) that the assistant AD was apparently aware of the violations and did not take any action and 2) a players mom was acting as an unofficial travel agent for the program and getting the OOS...

Friend, it's not about the infraction. It's about the ncaa getting its *** handed to it in court and everyone knowing that means they are going to make an example out of some school to prove it is still needed for rules enforcement. ASU didn't do 1/10th the stuff that SEC schools do, but they...

It might get a lot worse for the ncaa too. They could end up having to retroactively pay athletes BILLIONS (yes with a B) in TV money if they lose a pending antitrust lawsuit (violaters pay triple damages). Nothing more dangerous than a cornered animal. ASU is going to get drawn and quartered.

I think this is the correct take. He commits to ASU because he has a good relationship with Herm and Pierce, then flips to Miami after Herm gets canned (NCAA is out for blood and wants to show it's still in control after getting its *** handed to it by the Supreme Court). Staff needs to stay...
