Yup, they were pretty much picking a poison. Stop the run and spy the QB. It's like Pitt did to Miami in the 2017 game. Difference was Rosier wasn't a very good passer so it worked.
I gotta say, I don't know if it would be quite as bad if Baker didn't have a delayed blitz that doesn't come after the QB until he's about 5 steps into his drop.
This has been an embarrassing performance by the defense. None of this has anything to do with UL's speed. It's just **** poor tackling and bad discipline.
Baker can't stop calling the delayed blitz and some posters can't stop mentioning Clemson in this thread. I don't know where all that fits on the autism spectrum but it has to be on there somewhere.
