The difference is Malzahn has had six full seasons of top 5-10 recruiting classes and is still losing 5 games EVERY year. And for the record we have far less talent and depth than LSU, FSU, Wisconsin, Clemson and Notre Dame. Not every loss is within our division.

Malzhan has averaged five losses a year for the last five years and is 1-4 in bowl games despite having the 7th best recruiting classes over that same span. He also just got a huge extension last year despite going 7-5. I'm having a hard time seeing the connection.
