Richt names N'kosi Perry as Starting QB at GT!

Both the Gators and the Noles switched QBs last weekend. Doesn't make our situation any less f'ed up, but no we aren't the only ones.

Agree with you nobody these days stays. Which is why it didn't make sense earlier in the year. But at this point it makes zero sense to play Jarren this weekend and use a year of eligibility when you can play him the final three and not burn it. Even though he is unlikely to stay 5 years no...

Disagree. There is very little to be gained by playing Jarren vs GT when you can hopefully have Perry play the entire game (or Rosier or Cade if necessary) and then play Jarren in the last two and the bowl and save him a year of eligibility. Correct. Which is why it makes sense not to play him vs GT even if the goal is to get him some PT this season.

It has to mean the staff doesn't feel he's ready. Not just "can he throw", but can he get plays in, make presnap reads and adjustments, understand the play book, recognize the D and make blocking adjustments, etc. As we all know, throwing a ball is only the tip of the iceberg to being a QB...

If Perry is unsuccessful in the first 3 possessions we will likely lose the game vs the triple option.

Glad to see him get the start. If he plays even remotely decent I hope CMR keeps him in all game. The switching back and forth hurts everyone. Time to see what we have re the young kids to decide how panicked we need to be about QB for 2019.
