Sounds like a recurring theme under the last staff. Without going back down the path, it seemed their recruiting was much more passive (i.e. lazy).

He probably has a quota of articles per week, and have to provide something to paying customer on the most pressing topic in the program. Having said that, Ferman still has subscribers so clearly there are people out there who don’t know this means he doesn’t know anything.

Or if they are Manny Navarro, they don’t report but then say they actually knew the information weeks earlier when someone else reports on something.

It’s tough when it is literally your job to report, but he needs to say less. He’s just making it abundantly clear that he has no sources or information.

And my point is that is fine if you want good RBs like Yearby. If you want great RBs like Cook, we need a good recruiter to go with the logo and location. Duke Johnson and maybe Chaney to a degree are the only two in the last 15 years that came because of the logo.

Again, did you follow recruiting when Dalvin Cook, Sony Michel, Alex Collins, Greg Bryant, Dexter Williams, etc. left to go elsewhere? Yes South Florida has a ton of RBs that sign at FBS schools every year, but we need someone who can convince the top level, elite difference makers to play for...

People also forget when Cook, Michel, etc. didn’t stay home.
