For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

This x100, though I am good without Nebraska or OSU again. And this is the problem with the neutral site games. In no order, I would love these out of conference games: -Texas -Oregon -Stanford -USC -LSU -Colorado -ASU Selfishly, Auburn and Georgia would be extremely easy for me, so I...

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

I agree with you 100%. Had a couple of nice meals in Dallas, some great BBQ, top notch hotel, easy flight with no driving to the middle of nowhere. I wanted to do MSU this year, hit a bunch of the Michigan breweries but will have a newborn, so that is off the table. That is partially why I...

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

Just out of curiosity, you would rather go to Dallas to see us play LSU than go to Austin to see Texas's actual game day atmosphere and stadium or Baton Rouge to see Death Valley, and then look forward to those teams come to Hard Rock to build a home schedule around?

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

Here’s the bottom line, you are full of **** if you would take our upcoming slate of games over any of those programs’ upcoming home and home series that I listed (that initial list of mine excluded all neutral site games). And before you spit some nonsense about how do you know they want to...

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

I agree that those kickoff games are fun to travel to similar to a bowl game. However, they do remove a lot of what makes traveling for college football unique and great. Namely, you are not getting to see another school's gameday or a famous stadium. The biggest thing, to me, is that they...

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

The basis of this was home and homes, so cross out Alabama and LSU and one of the UF games. ND is essentially an ACC mandate from their quasi-affiliation, so knock that one out too. By the time we play them next they may be full conference members. I already said MSU was a good series to...

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

Every single one of those. I purposefully excluded any neutral site games. You see more and more of these coming up since the playoff is apparently willing to forgive good losses and attendance across the country has been falling. No one is paying season tickets for your conference slate and...

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

The team is average, the town is average at best, and the stadium/game day atmosphere are not on any college football bucket lists. There was no reason to schedule them over about 50 other teams, especially not as our marquee out of conference game for that season.

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

Except this is not really true anymore. You look within the last couple of years and next few years, and here's a sampling of what some teams have scheduled: -UF has Texas, Utah, Miami, ASU, and Cal (on top of FSU every year) -Texas has Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, Alabama and UF -Alabama...

While that was true in the past, it is not true in the future. Instead we are the ones scheduling soft.

For the “we don’t play anybody” crowd

I said this when we scheduled South Carolina. Our out of conference slate is boring. We are playing TA&M again in the coming years too. We played LSU and have Bama next year. Michigan State was fine. I never thought I would say this, but I am really jealous of UF's upcoming games. Utah...
