I agree but the claim I responded to was that Manny deserves special credit as a LB corch for developing Shaq. I pointed out that Shaq was good when he got here and had his best tackle year after manny left, so not clear manny deserves special credit for his development.

I’m not sure I follow your logic. Shaq committed to Dorito then Richt, was a freshman all american and third team all ACC, made second team all ACC as a sophomore, and first team both junior and senior seasons. He had his best season after Diaz became HC and Baker was DC (Shaq’s senior season).

Yep. Manny likely sees shoop helping him with game planning (along with simpson and t rob). Suspect he wants a recruiter / lb coach. Shoop could be dc but doesn’t help as much, because can do 90% of the same thing as analyst, we save money, we get another recruiter and a good lb coach.
