It would be great to see Anthony Walker on this list before the season ends.

It is safe to say, these three have become a good recruiting class that will get better with more playing time and experience.

Actually, scholarships are renewable on a yearly basis so truthfully, a scholarship is only a one year commitment from the school. That is how schools who take one and done players always have scholarships available. I am not advertising Miami to become that type of school as it is hard to...

That is not as bad as thinking, what if Vernon Carey and CJ Walker had committed to Miami. The 2019 recruiting class would be considered the best recruiting class ever at Miami and Sweet Sixteen would be the minimum expectation as Miami would be a preseason top 15 team. I have stopped thinking...

The Miami backcourt is very good with Lykes, Vasiljevic, Wong, Beverly and McGusty. The question marks remain in the frontcourt with Miller (skill development), Wardeenburg (toughness and aggressiveness), Gak (injury recovery), Stone (injury recovery), Walker (inexperience) and Brooks (redshirt).

I could not agree with you more. Playing time should always come before tradition or anything else. It will be interesting to see if he stays or transfers after a year.

I think the same thing then he will transfer in another year. It is not about the school anymore, it is about playing time and opportunity.

I wonder if this will cause Tristan Enaruna to decommit as it looks like he is already not in the rotation at Kansas. Miami still has plenty of minutes available.

The problem with Lykes is that he wants to prove he is not too small on every play. He gets too deep and puts himself in bad situations. Hopefully he will "turn the corner" and learn from his mistakes. It would be nice if we could play more high low basketball or get something from a post...

    2019 recruiting

Our guards have to be able to turn the corner on the ball screen and get into the lane to create shots not just for themselves but for the other wing in the corner for a 3 point shot or the big rolling to the basket. The ball screen offense was ineffective last season because DJ and Anthony...

I would try for both. Kansas and Carolina only have 13 scholarships and they cannot sign everyone. They have to hit the limit at some point. Miami has 2 scholarships left for sure.

Considering Miami lost 7 to 10 games by 10 points or less last season, I feel they have added more scoring and depth to the roster to compete in a weaker ACC. With a strong non-conference schedule, no injuries and players play up to their abilities, I see no reason why this group will not make...
