    Rhett Lashlee Interview

Of course but it King isn’t even coming near Miami if we didn’t hire Lashlee. I’m a fan but I agree that he’s got some weaknesses and areas to improve on. No coach is perfect but after seeing that garbage in 2019, the improvements in 2020 (without significant upgrades at any position besides QB)...

    Rhett Lashlee Interview

If Lashlee got fired today he would have a P5 OC job tomorrow. Average coordinators don't improve teams from 98th to 32nd in total offense in one season.

    Rhett Lashlee Interview

I'll fault Manny and Baker for the defense being straight trash in the first quarter but once again, none of that has anything to do with the offensive coordinator. But they didn't score any points in the first quarter? They had two total possessions in the first. One that ended in a punt and...

    Rhett Lashlee Interview

Clearly the team didn’t. Otherwise they wouldn’t have gotten back in the game. The point I made was that the offense played well in the bowl.

    Rhett Lashlee Interview

Maybe you gave up after the first quarter but the game was incredibly tight and came down to the final minutes. Once again, Miami’s offense actually played better than Oklahoma State’s offense. They just hurt themselves with two fumbles and a defense that played like crap. Not sure how you can...

    Rhett Lashlee Interview

What are you talking about? I mean they fell behind 21-0 early but it was 21-10 at the half and the final score was 37-34. It’s not like OSU had some insurmountable lead and Miami just had a bunch of garbage yards. Miami actually outgained OSU by 100 yards. They just turned the ball over twice...

    Rhett Lashlee Interview

Yeah defense is what cost that game but that’s not the topic. The offense played more than good enough to win that game. Especially since Oklahoma state was one of the better defenses we faced last year. Certainly better than the North Carolina defense that held us in check

    Rhett Lashlee Interview

We had over 500 yards of offense against Oklahoma State. It would have been a lot more of our favorite receivers didn’t drop passes that would have gone for huge gains.
