This has been explained here 100 times. The staff doesnt really want another running back unless its Knighton. They only really want 1 but made room for Knighton because they think he's elite.

Sony Michel did not play in a spread and put up crazy numbers. If we have a competent o line we dont have to go to a spread. If the o line sucks then we do. To me its that simple. Knighton is a good back for the spread. I think Chaney is more Michel-esque

When was the last time we didn’t miss at a particular position at all? 2/2 on our top 2 targets is hella impressive.
