If Alvarez is still available, why not take him?

We need guys that can actually play quality minutes. At this point, we can get much better than him. Again, if at the end, it is him or nothing, I’d go with him. McGusty, Mack, Johnson, T. Smith and Burke are all better options (these are some of the guys we’re allegedly on). In fact, I don’t...

And we need someone who can actually play quality burn and actual minutes and Wiley didn’t do that against worse competition. Obviously if Wiley or nothing...

We could do much better. I would ONLY take him to avoid a 3rd straight season of leaving a scholarship open. But we can do much better.

Where did it say that? This article had some interesting quotes: https://www.naplesnews.com/story/sports/college/fgcu/2018/04/02/college-basketball-tweets-speculation-make-appear-zach-johnson-others-leaving-fgcu/478790002/ If he completes quite a bit of summer course work, the 6-1 Johnson...

It is unclear. Last year was his 4th season/year at FGCU. That doesn't mean he graduated or graduates in May/Summer. Perhaps, if he doesn't graduate, he can get a waiver (to be closer to home) since it would be his 5th year (next season). This assumes he doesn't graduate in May/Summer.

    Greatly needed.

Hopefully we can get at least 2 eligible players that are capable of playing quality burn.

If he said that, I am assuming the following: 1. Coach will use all 13 scholarships (we didn't use them this year or last year). 2. Brown and Huell will come back. Obviously he doesn't have "control" over them coming back, but I think he will try to use all the ships.

Pretty much. They won't do that. Even though they're no formal charges, they won't give us a "clean bill of health".

It is almost the same thing. We need players regardless. I don’t care if we recurit them or transfer in, just come here and develop them.

I am not saying we have a chance at these kids, just here is a possible roster. Assuming Brown or Walker returns: 2018: (assuming one of Walker/Brown returns) PG: Lykes G: Walker/Brown G: Wilson/DJ Sit Out: McGusty Sit Out: Mcewen 2019: (assuming Walker/Brown leave) PG: Lykes G...

Here is another kid. Koby McEwen 6'4 G from Utah State (must sit out, 2:2) http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/4066755/koby-mcewen

That kid is a no-brainer plus he is local and shoots almost 40% from 3.

I agree. I would take someone that is eligible today as well. There are plenty of names available.

We have Lykes so there is no rush to give him serious burn. In fact, if Brown (somehow) comes back, we may be able to redshirt him.

I don't think he was behind Trae Young. I think the other dude (James) was taking his minutes. I honestly have no idea why his minutes decreased.

Well we run 3 guards on our offense. So there is time available.
