To make things even more intriguing the Mets have called up the best prospect in all of baseball. Let's see if the kid could help us get some extra- base hits. His swing is the best I have seen since Piazza's.

Well then. Let's set up the scene. Up one game in the standings after a nice emotional comeback against the Marlins. Big series in Atlanta that has some doubt due to hurricane remnants/tropical storm troubles. We have our Aces ready to head into the battle and show the reigning World Series...

Injuries and great play by Atlanta has made things too close to call. Kudos to the braves for staying hot and consistent. Let's see how things end. Getting back Megill and Carrasco (back to form) will be crucial in this stretch run. And of course Mad Max.

Just seems so weird those fans were chirping in here uninvited , eagerly posting in a thread that has nothing to do with their team- when things are going well. When the Mets beat their ****s they are quiet and nowhere to be found. Very odd. Agree with your post for the most part about the...

Oh... ... and all those Braves fans who were posting in here the last few weeks seem really, really quiet right about now. Interesting.🤔

Most fun I have had in decades. Yes, the bullpen needs to improve. Hopefully Tyler Megill can transition there. He was arguably our best starter the first couple months of the season. If he can come in and throw the same type of stuff in the 7th/ 8th innings of ball games it would be a...

Mets Flexing some muscles this weekend. Slapping the Braves on the face and showing them that last year was last year... ... and this year we are more prepared and ready for battle. I said it many times and I will say it a million times more: This year feels so different and this team is...

Yup. We need another bat, a reliever and deGrom to get healthy and we should be good to go. Citi Field will be a fortress if we can get the #1 seed so hopefully we can stay hot down the stretch.

Thought for you from a Met fan

Forgot to address this in my last post. This stat is pretty much meaningless to me because the Mets may look like a totally different team in October. Roster Moves and healthy pitching can make a huuuuuge difference when the lights go on in playoffs situations. But we shall see.

Thought for you from a Met fan

This is a Mets thread so of course the perspective is going to be purely about the Mets. You should not be surprised if there is no talk about other teams' injuries. *shrugs*. Yes, the Braves are a great team and made up a huge deficit. They are a solid team and defending champs so we all...

Such a great series win. A series in which we had the lead in every game. A tone setting series. Against the defending Champs and hated rival that we never, ever seem to beat. On the road without some of our key players to boot. This season just feels so different. I know we need more...

I just have to say that there is something magical about this Mets team. It feels like no other season I have ever seen. Yes, I know... ...it is June, still a long way to go, we need to get healthy and we may need to get some good relievers at the deadline. But with the richest owner in...
