I agree but we could also be in quite a predicament next year if he wins the job and Weldon and or Perry transfer. We need to be in the market for a grad transfer to compete and at the very least provide depth.

You're right, so he can play 3 more games without sacrificing the redshirt. I say **** it and open the whole competition up and see what the kid can do.
