Just watch an see. The cease and desist letter yesterday was the first shot across the bow.

My understanding is that the Big12 basically has ESPN by the balls right now. They have evidence that ESPN is in breach of contract not only because of what they have been doing post the breaking of this UT/OU move, but also that ESPN was actively involved in brokering the UT/OU move. We'll be...

I was extremely unimpressed with every aspect of campus honestly. It seems old, dingy and run down except for the McCombs B-School. If it wasn't such a good school, I could see how prospective students and recruits would be very let down upon their first visit. Throw on top of that the fact that...

What's really strange is that with all the money at that school, their campus is really, really mediocre. I was actually just there this summer touring around. I expected a beautiful campus and amazing facilities. I was extremely unimpressed!

It would be absolutely full ****** to put Miami, FSU and Clemson in the same pod. Not happening.

If true that the SEC is talking to these B1G teams, that confirms for me that the SEC is really just trying to create enough chaos to bring everybody to the table to accelerate the dismantling of the current system and the complete breakaway from the NCAA. Right now, we have all these...

    REALIGNMENT MEGGGGAAAA THREAAAD

I'm a believer that CFB fans in general want to see national intrigue when it comes to their sports. They don't want to see the same regional teams fighting it out. That's why fans have become bored with watching Bama vs Clemson every other year in the championship. I personally believe that an...

    REALIGNMENT MEGGGGAAAA THREAAAD

Right now, it seems like everyone is focused on money and nobody is thinking about parity and competition, which is ultimately the only thing that can sustain the money.

Even better. The ACC, Big10, PAC and the remains of the Big 12 band together and only play each other. Let the SEC have fun all by itself. See how long they last.

    REALIGNMENT MEGGGGAAAA THREAAAD

If the other conferences had any balls, they would band together and take the best of what they've got and give a big middle finger to the SEC. Imagine if the Big10, PAC, ACC and what's left of the Big12 created their own league and told they SEC they can either come to the table and play ball...

The greed would end up killing them though. At the end of the day, the product has to be compelling. People will get bored with the product because there is no parity and they'll stop watching, then the money will dry up. We're already starting to see that with the playoffs, which is the entire...

    REALIGNMENT MEGGGGAAAA THREAAAD

If anyone is smart, they would just leave it, because if the new SEC was just left to play out their 4 pod system without anyone from the rest of the CFB work participating, their money would dry up really fast.

No, nobody in the Chicago market is watching NW. I'm from the area. Nobody cares about NW.

That revenue goes to KU, not the conference. A conference's desire to add a team is all about whether that addition will add intrigue and therefore revenue. KU doesn't do that in football. Sure, it will give a marginal bump because of basketball, but it's not moving the needle.

    REALIGNMENT MEGGGGAAAA THREAAAD

Well of course it is. Nobody is questioning whether this would be good for KU. It would be great for them. Just wouldn't do much for the Big10.

And it would be a big "f*** you" to the SEC!

    REALIGNMENT MEGGGGAAAA THREAAAD

If the ACC and Big10 brass were smart, they would agree to merge into a 32 team super conference, cut some of the dead weight (i.e., WF, NW, etc.) and add a couple teams from the Big12 or PAC12 to replace them. The SEC thinks they are making a power play here. This type of move by the ACC and...

    REALIGNMENT MEGGGGAAAA THREAAAD

Cool story, but what does KU add to the conference pot of money? That's the point. They aren't going to move the needle from a TV rights perspective.

    Nope.

I'd be fine with that two as long as it ends up looking somewhat like what I described in my "sad day" post.
