So, have the mid-week games already sunk the RPI beyond repair? If so, it seems the calculation needs some tweaking, as this Canes team has some talent when they are focused.
Shouldn't the calculation toss one or two outliers for a sport that plays a near 60 game regular season schedule?
Very possible, and there are some teams we always seem to play fairly well against over the years (UVA, NC, GT, Clem, etc) ... and then there's UF. MLB has had similar mis-match records over the years for long stretches - hard to explain it w logic.
I agree as well, although they are all doing way too much slurping for 12 - 13 games in w a new staff and many poor performances thus far. Time will tell, but resources and technology are nothing if used improperly and fundamental baseball skills aren't developed.
