As distasteful as it is, we need to be rooting for UF this morning vs A&M. If A&M gets to the SEC Championship game, they could steal our spot if we were to lose Friday. And it wouldn't bother me if UF grabbed a top 16 host.

I think they could also, assuming a few of the other bubble teams falter this weekend. And I'm fine with that. Either way, I hope the Committee gets a little bolder and creative this year with the placement of the 2 seeds.

That means we'll have to find some way to beat them then, because you know they'll be coming to the Light as a 2 seed. FSU isn't hosting after their week.

Let's hope they use some discretion when assigning teams to regionals, etc. and take this into account.

I agree - the tourneys give the Committee the opportunity to shaft someone based on 2 - 3 recent games vs 55 prior. And don't assume this is an enlightened Committee like football and basketball (no disrespect if some of you know some Committee members, but I have yet to be impressed). Not to...

Very possible since they can tell we have some pretty analytical posters here (smiley face inserted). It is logical though - if we win ACC or finish within % pts of 1st with a Top 10 RPI, we'd better get a super-seed.

Got ya - the way I read the determination of seedings for the ACC Tournament, the highest winning percentage will be regular season conference champs and #1 seed, next highest percentage #2 seed, etc.

What are you guys trying to figure out? Neither VT or UL can be tied w us on a percentage basis, and isn't that the determining factor in who wins the conference/division since cancelled games are not made up, i.e. tiebreaker unnecessary?

I sure hope the Committee takes this stuff into account when doing their seedings. Teams should not be rewarded for refusing to play scheduled games. We certainly could have benefitted from having our starters get this coming weekend off.

The ACC tournament should go to something similar to the SEC format w a bye for teams #1 - 4 in the regular season standings. Don't give the Selection Committee reasons to use these useless tournaments as excuses to be subjective w NCAA post-season seedings. It's utterly absurd to weigh 2 - 3...
