Losing BVB really hurts, but Jake Smith looks to be pretty polished. His JC stats are off the charts impressive (K/BB ratio of almost 8x, and averaged 13K's per 9 innings). We'll only have him for a year, but let's hope he can step right in like BVB did a couple of years ago.

Hate to lose BVB, but wish him all the best. He was money almost every time he took the mound for two years.

For selfish reasons would love for him to drop into Rd 3 - 5 and come back next year to make a run at a Round 1 pick. Probably wishful thinking though.

D1 Baseball doesn't have Chris or Slade in their 1st round. They also reported that the NCAA has lifted the 35 man roster cap and 25% min scholarship for next year. Sounds like more advantage for the Power 5 public schools to me.
