If we go to WVU or LSU, we wouldn't face Ole Miss if we win the regional (and I assume you meant OkSt, not ASU?). Ole Miss will be a 15 or 16 seed who would be paired with the 1 or 2 seed. But I am with you on going to a regional across from someone other than UCLA or Vandy.

This baseball committee continues to be an embarrassment. So, the basketball committee pays little attention to conference tournaments, yet baseball does even though baseball plays more games and hosting is actually a big deal and is supposed to be a reward for a 30 game conference schedule...

You might be right, but head to head match-ups should carry much less weight in baseball IMO.

What happened to the notion that these bs conference tournaments aren't supposed to matter? And we looked better than NC St anyway, and in basically a home park for them. Oh well, maybe a #2 seed in a winnable regional will be a blessing in disguise (don't see anyone beating UCLA or Vandy).

I think we are. The Committee is not supposed to place undue emphasis on these mostly meaningless conference tournaments. It a 2 - 3 game sample size compared to a 55 game regular season. We were in based on the projections before the tournament and went 1 - 1.
