Agree, they both need at least one extended 5 - 6 inning start prior to the regionals. Otherwise, unless we run the table in our regional, you are really putting a lot of pressure on an inexperienced bullpen over a 4 - 5 game weekend.
Del Castillo needs to stay in RF the rest of the year and move to catcher whenever Amditis leaves. Kid's an athlete.
He may not be the swiftest kid around, but he has baseball instincts and gets good jumps on the ball. Both of those catches in the 8th and 9th were not easy.
Agree. The submarine types can get in funks like that because it's so difficult to have consistently good control from that release point. But he's really tough on RH hitters when he is on, and he has atypical good velocity to go with it.
Nice comeback win. We looked flat as could be but didn't panic. Great ABs by all four of our guy's in 8th - didn't try to do too much.
Pen was money, but I hope Mixon finds his release point again; we'll need him.
