Unfortunately, GT and NC are taking care of business today. We missed a real opportunity with the game 3 loss, and potentially hosting just got A LOT harder. Hope McKendry just tightened up from the cold.

Well, this series just keeps getting worse. Now McKendry is either hurt or we're throwing in the towel in the second inning. Keysor in to start the bottom of the 2nd.

Trust me, more sympathetic I could not be. The **** football team used to do the same thing. I am just pointing out that McKendry is a feel pitcher who throws a lot of change-ups, and it's difficult to control it when it's a 43 degree wind chill and raining.

This sucks we had to catch these guys on a hot streak and we get these conditions to boot. I know it's the same for both teams, but our defense is already bad and when you throw in the cold and rain, it neutralizes our offense and will make it doubly tough to get a win.

You can tell he's not comfortable in these conditions - 3 run bomb. Not looking good.

Need McKendry to be on his game today - we'll need this game 2 W as the weather for tomorrow looks worse.

Concur, but a sweep would be a serious blow to any chance at hosting, don't you think? Drops us below .500 in ACC play and hurts chances of winning the Coastal.

I actually don't see this as a bad loss. Our true freshman in a totally unfamiliar role vs their ace against a top 10 team on the road. Reality is we fought the whole way and brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth with Toral hitting. If we get swept, then yes it sucks. We'll see how far...

I was thinking the same thing - nothing like riding the pine to get you focused. But it probably won't happen until a mid week game if at all.

I was about to post how well we were playing despite being down 2, and then Zamora brings me back to earth. A LL SS knows there's absolutely no play when you field a ball in shallow LF. We are still in this game nevertheless.
