I know we probably got lucky in the year after Fraser retired, but the example above also shows how impressive the record was (is, I hope) for a small private school and the way we rarely get the benefit of the doubt as opposed to a Mike Martin FSU team, ANY SEC school, etc.

I don't get it either. Maybe he's a great man, but he comes across to me as this Andy Griffith, aw shucks type. And a lot of it seems like an act. I thought he should have been fired after the Regional debacle last year.

Might have to find another JC transfer a la Jeb, Brian, etc. Gino and JD have done a good job in that category in recent years and it may have to continue.

If we can win the rest of our ACC series and get to 40 wins the weekend of the selection committee, there's still an outside chance of hosting. But I continue to believe the teams currently in front of us will have to stumble (NC in particular, as I doubt the ACC will get more than 4 hosts)...
