Hopefully it falls in the "good problem to have" category, as opposed to several of the classes a few years back when we were scurrying to sign JC transfers, etc. in the twelfth hour. I also suspect, based on the PG ranking, that several of these recruits will never make it to campus.

I noticed his '19, '20 & '21 recruiting classes are all ranked Top 5 by PG. Let's hope it includes a fair number of kids he can get to campus.

It would be nice to have some options - I watched Amditis hit one out at Wrigley Field in a HS All Star game. Maybe he can get back to that potential if he can stay healthy the whole year.

I would think Del Castillo has to be in the lineup based on the power displayed in HS, and hopefully Toral improves enough to not have to hit in the 9 hole.

Obviously me, and a lot of the comments I recall on this board and elsewhere about the potential of Toral, Romy coming off a solid sophomore season, Reyes, hope for Hackett returning to JC form, Amditis coming back at full strength, Burns improving on his junior year, etc. What am I missing...

I hope you are right, but a lot of us thought that about '17's squad and the '17 offense, save a couple of the incoming freshmen, was a major disappointment. Gino's most important near-term decision may be who he hires as his hitting coach.

I could see that as it looks like we recruited several SS's in this class, and Zamora needs work on quickening his release. That's less of an issue at 3B.

That was always my belief as well; anyone know why he grades out so poorly?

Thanks. Let's hope the MLB draft works in our favor this year. It seemed like it did last year at the time (w McMahon and Toral); let's hope they still pan out their last two or three years here.
