To wrap this up from twenty posts ago, you don't get a weaker #1 seed just because you're a stronger #3 seed. That's just folly and has never been a thing.

That's a typical message board defense mechanism when someone is exposed for their lack of knowledge. "UR DUMB". I tried to be civil and take it to PM, but I'll call you out again publicly: Haven't you ever wondered why FIU, FAU, USF, FAMU, FGCU, Bethune, and Jacksonville are always in a...

It's nothing to get angry about. Everyone needs to learn it eventually.

I already told you that they seed the #1's. And the rest of it is not random if it's based on geography. It's all pretty easy to understand if you're not so angry trying to be right.

    Man, what a coincidence that the seeding fell this way out west. Region 8 [Pacific I] - Stanford, CA -------------------- ------------ 2 * CSU,Fullerton WW W 34-21 23 17 41 116 Big West (#3) N1 Stanford WLWL 40-14 6 9 9 124 Pac-12 (#2) 3 BYU...

It's frustrating when people act like they know how stuff works, so I feel obligated to correct them, even if it doesn't apply to us.

You should at least acknowledge that you're learning something new today. Like how teams from the same conference can't be in the same regional.

Here's what I'm dealing with: Oregon State, UCLA, and Stanford were the west coast hosts in 2019. This dude is asking why California wasn't a #2 seed somewhere out west.

You keep missing point #3. Some teams are left without a local regional site.

LOL, this is fantastic. There was no one on the west coast to put in Los Angeles as the #2.

If the only west coast hosts are Pac-12, and Cal can't be in a regional with another Pac-12 team, they have to be sent away. Elementary.

Cal went to Arkansas because there was nowhere to put them on the west coast. It's obvious that the D1 team you played for didn't factor into the regionals.

Did you really just ask why their conference matters? Oh my.

I told you about Baylor and Cal. You can't put teams in the same regional as someone from their conference. The only Texas hosts were Big 12. The only California hosts were Pac 12. Please tell me you understand that part at least.

Look at the Louisville regional. Maybe grab a map first. 1. Louisville (Kentucky) 2. Indiana (Indiana) 3. Illinois State (Illinois) 4. UIC (Illinois)

Oh, I'll go all night. The only hosts close to Baylor were in the same conference. They couldn't be a #2 there. So you put them on a plane. Additionally, there were no #2's on the west coast to be able to send to UCLA. Baylor has no one close, UCLA has no one close, so you make them 1-2. This...

2019: The #8 national seed, Texas Tech, got RPI #27 as their #2 seed. The #3 national seed, Georgia Tech, got RPI #17 as their #2 seed. Why, you ask? Because Dallas Baptist is in Texas and Auburn is in Alabama. Geography, not seeding, determines where you go.

I could write a book on how seeding is done. Don't act like you're teaching something here. There is no such thing as sending stronger #3's to weaker #1's. That doesn't happen. 1. Determine hosts 2. Place as many teams as they can based on geography 3. Put the outlying teams on a plane

They have never done that and aren't about to start doing that. After they place the #1 seeds, everything else is based on geography. Then the outliers are sent wherever there is a hole. I figured that's what you thought. But the NCAA doesn't do it that way. Never have.
