The 1983 draft way before my time but obviously Elway had a legendary arm but his college stats don't compare to TL. A lot has changed in college since 1983 and that is to TL benefit.
TL throws the ball close to 61.4mph, which would be the second-fastest throw (62 being the fastest) at the NFL combine since they started tracking. Considering TL is only 20 years old, one should expect his velocity to continue to increase...
Only one of those guys was drafted first overall and none had college success like TL. At this point in his career, TL is a better prospect than those guys.

Clemson has arguably the greatest QB in the history of college football. Whoever starts two years from now at Clemson won't be as good as Lawerance. If we can beat everyone else then recruiting will get better and we will be able to compete with Clemson.
