    The evidence is the obvious money left on the table. Whoever Richt hires next, he will have a lot of money to pay. So Richt is either reducing payroll or hiring an OC.

    I can't disagree with you about Saban. Our staff position alignment sets us up to read the spread, which often has an extra offensive coach.

    He would need to terminate a coach to hire a new DC and OC. We also likely lose a few of our defensive coaches in the process. Richt made the safe hire for a man that doesn't want to get fired and does not want to fire his son. He now has the spot and money to hire a big-time coordinator.

    Worth adding that Jess Simpson coached teams to 10 straight state championship games. That was the expectation at Buford, who just fired their coach after failing to reach the finals the 2 years after Simpson left.
