    Colorado (6-2) vs #15 Miami (7-1)

As a small but quick and athletic team, pressure man defense and the ability to switch 1-5 should be our strength. We don’t have the length to zone effectively… but then again we aren’t playing man effectively so maybe a zone couldn’t be worse? Personally, I think the problem is not able to be...

    Colorado (6-2) vs #15 Miami (7-1)

Why do this? This team is really, really good when they play together, play hard, and play their assignments. They’re also very, very beatable (even… bad) when they bring a half hearted defensive effort and are more worried about scoring than rebounding.

I think you nailed it and ironically the bolded was my hope for this year’s team… they can be really good if they play as a team (to the point they wouldn’t need last minute iso heroics as often). But they’re not anything special playing as individuals.

    Colorado (6-2) vs #15 Miami (7-1)

I think part of it is the team is (or some of the guys are) still trying to win a track meet but they can’t do it without slowing the other side down because the other side is actually playing defense.

    Colorado (6-2) vs #15 Miami (7-1)

For the stat nerds (@ALLoverCANE ) who want to ignore officiating as a factor. Omier’s +/- was a team high -5 Nwoko’s was -19 in 9 minutes. Omier fouling out on a phantom call was not irrelevant. Nor was letting Colorado bump and slap defensively. We sucked but this was probably a 10-15...

    Colorado (6-2) vs #15 Miami (7-1)

I think this is right. We’re not doing a lot of the little things well right now. And I think L is frustrated because he’s trying to teach and emphasize it but it isn’t sticking right now.

    Colorado (6-2) vs #15 Miami (7-1)

Given the expectations… there’s good cause for concern. We haven’t gotten thoroughly woodshedded twice in a short span in any of our successful years that I can remember. This team has a lot of talent and potential but some things definitely have to be figured out because there are fundamental...

You can lead a horse to water… I thought Cleveland would slot in for Miller with rebounding but he is more interested in getting into transition than boxing out.

A couple of those turnovers were uncalled fouls that were way more real than the tripping foul called on Cleveland where he established his position and the Colorado player ran into his leg.

Fair. Flew up to NYC for the game and it sucks to see the game spiral totally out of control on a series of bad calls. We played terribly (TERRIBLY) but that doesn’t make bad officiating any less frustrating. We actually got a favorable whistle in the first half so maybe the refs were trying...

    Colorado (6-2) vs #15 Miami (7-1)

You don’t think Omier fouling out on a phantom foul hurt us? Or them not calling Wooga getting fouled on the arm multiple times. That was a defensive foul when they whistled Pack… they were letting them foul us and fouled Omier out on literally no contact. Edit: Let me be clear. It was an...

    Colorado (6-2) vs #15 Miami (7-1)

Omier was fouled out on a totally phantom call. Pack was getting bullied and he didn’t even fully extend his arm and they called an offensive foul. Officiating was bad and it hurt us. We were also very, very bad.

Officiating was disgusting. We played equally bad.
