The state population over the decade didn’t decline, growth was stagnant. Over the last year population declined. People are moving to the cities in most metropolitan areas across the country. People are being pushed out of the city but also being replaced.
Cleveland, Cincinnati and Dayton are. The state overall declined in population last year. It’s not doing the opposite of what I said. But you got it bruv.
I mean Ohio had one of the slowest population growths in the country. The population overall increased by 2.3%. That’s literally nothing. My wording was probably off but the broader point remains the same.
I think the Black population is declining in each of the major cities (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati) as each face gentrification and then some of it is job displacement from closing down of factories across the state. Lot of people moving south.
