There is a difference between being able to run and being a 4.3 guy. You have dudes complaining that the team isn't full of 4.3 and 4.4 guys like they grow on trees.
I was just looking at some numbers and found them interesting. Dudes keep talking bout campbell being so fast. He ran a 4.47 which is good speed but his shuttle was a 4.51. Ivey shuttle was a 4.2. Blades shuttle was a 4.34. Patrick joyner had a faster shuttle than cambell with a 4.43.
It tells...
The overall team speed was better in the past but like i said the better players locally don't seem to be as fast as guys back then. Look at the numbers from the opening miami last year. Them shîts was trash.
Im looking at these combine results and i dont see south florida dominating the 40s. And of course there are a few fast guys every year but yall acting like the past teams were loaded with 4.3 and 4.4 guys when it wasn't.
Show me all these big time players locally with that type of speed that miami has missed on. Guys are just not that fast. Henry gray is the top ranked corner in sfla and he runs a 4.8.
Richt complained about speed at wr and he did fix it. Got thomas, harley, pope. Wiggins can run. At the time other than richards and coley who were fast you had berrios, langham, harris, mullen, cager, and none of them were fast.
