    The feb rate hike will occur on Feb 1. Not enough time for abysmal news on the economy. After the higher Jan inflation reports that will come in February, the Fed will not pause and will continue on to 5% in March like they have been indicating the whole time.

    Btw I’m in the camp that the fed could and probably should relax right now. I think we needed a clean sweep of soft data to get them to risk it though. A high January inflation report means more hikes. I don’t care about inflation for its own sake, just its affect on the market

    I've been generally on your side with the inflation view. Might be changing that view due to gas prices, seemingly up due to China's rapid reopening. Up 10% over last month. That is not going to result in the sort of MoM inflation numbers the fed needs to pause in the near future.

    For the record I don't like TSLA and I'm not buying it. But even if it eventually is valued as a car company, it is still a growing car company, not a mature company like F.

    TSLA forward earnings is down to 20 p/e. For a growth stock that is very fair. You're talking about dropping down to single digits p/e for a high growth stock. That's crazy. This thing has to bottom soon.
