This kid has more than one year left of eligibility, and coming from the FCS….he might be willing to sit a year to get acclimated.

Ya, part of my intrigue stems from the curiosity of how he would perform with time in the pocket. I agree with others in here. Offer him a spot, but try to get someone better on top of him.

There are many concerns, but obviously we’re in a place right now where we’re striking out on most of the better options. My argument is we could do a lot worse than this kid. Is he what we want? No. Is he still a darn good QB? Yes.

I hear you. I’d obviously prefer some of the other options, but this kid put up video game numbers this year and he deserves some respect.

These are all valid concerns. My response is that his team wasn’t very good. He lifted them up, not the other way around. His poor numbers in those games are a product of a god awful OL and lackluster supporting cast at skill player positions. That matters a lot when you play teams with way...
