And why wouldn't Howard wait out Ward if the two are looking at the same schools? If Miami has the biggest bag and Ward drags his feet or opts for USC, then Howard can re-engage Miami as the best available QB.

I really like Will Howard and think he would've been a great fit for our program; arguably a better football player. I don't think we could go wrong with either QB, but Cam is a more gifted passer of the football and his natural arm-talent raises our ceiling.

Only becomes a mistake if they didn't secure Cam.
