Agree. i just don't see it happening at Duke. Manny just doesn't have the recruiting chops. He's proven to be a good DC when he's given good players to work with but when it comes to getting his own guys, he generally flops.

Has anyone ever done better than 6 or 7 wins at Duke? If Manny goes 6-6 at Duke, I'd consider that a win for their program.

That includes the 2020 season which was two games shorter than a normal regular season.

Manny certainly had his share of stupid moves but hiring a real OC and allowing him to do whatever he wanted was the best coaching move by a UM coach in two decades. If not for Lashlee's offense outscoring teams in 2020 and 2021, Manny would likely have had the worst W/L record of any recent coach.

Manny is the second most successful of the "post Coker" coaches for what it's worth. It's like being the smartest kid on the short bus though.
