The 4-game rule started before Taulia was at Alabama right? I want to say 2018, so it re-affirms the cluelessness of the comment from said writer. But the thought process is there.

Top one is a Miami writer from AOL, bottom one is The Athletic from relatively recently. But just reading between the lines, his name wouldn’t have been brought up both on this board and amongst credible sites if there wasn’t a legit chance of it happening.

That part is very key. Allows you to spend around him, even better if it’s multi-year starters to set you up well in 2025. I’d take him no questions asked. Some of the forced throws are just him trying too hard to make the exceptional play, I think he’d be perfectly ok in this system and a guy...

That’s where I’m at. Get me any of Ward/Gabriel/Howard/Baby Tua in this system, and we’ll be ok. Pratt is fine, we can still win games with him at QB…but I’m just not so sure he’ll win the games more than not lose them. It’s a safe option.

He did, he’ll go look at multiple options just like we are. Malachi Nelson will start in their bowl game against Louisville, I’d imagine it’s an audition of sorts to what they’ll do in ‘24.

I believe so, yes. Would be the biggest win of Mario’s career at Miami imo if he pulls it off. Especially considering the negativity surrounding his history with QBs, as I’m sure every program tries to use against us.

Ohio State is kicking McCord to the side to go after Ward. Oregon wants Ward and are the presumed favorites. FSU wants Ward. Even Lincoln Riley is considering going after him despite having multiple 5-star QBs ready to take over. And there are those on CIS that are saying no thanks lol...

I disagree based on what my eyes saw the last four games against G5 competition (and below mediocre defenses at that) + KSt film in 2022 and a handful of other games, but I understand the rationale.

Not that we can’t win with either of the 6, but the bottom two are glorified game managers to me (especially Pratt), and Rogers needs a more open system. I’m not sure how much more of Pratt we need to see to realize he’s just nothing special at all. Miami is not in a position to have a game...

Now that would surprise me, but it is a quick-read, spread out offense so it’s a solid fit. Also somewhat budget friendly for a program like UW
