Fine, but he’s still, even now, has super clean pockets and plenty of time. Seems to be the problem. The more time he has, he’s somehow worse. Plus, if he has these injuries and can’t make the throws, he needs to sit or change the game plan for shorter routes.

Perhaps. It’s an NFL throw for sure and not one he is able to make at this point due to his health. A healthy TVD, I would agree.

No it’s not and you, like TVD, would be throwing that INT to the safety instead of the corner or at best, it’s a hospital ball as Brashard would be exposed to that safety.

Yeah, and that was one of my main points. Making that safety make a decision. Putting pressure on him the way offenses have put pressure on Kam to make a decision. Even if he goes MOF and safety goes with him, he has 12 yards to make up to get there and if he decides to stay up too, then you...

That is the one time in what, 8 games, that the QB has been hit. It’s gonna happen and TVD made a great throw and took the hit. Most other plays, our QBs have all day to throw.

Lu - on the bottom pic where you point out Restrepo running a deep slant - why are our receivers not cutting their routes in front of the defender? This happened with George last week vs Clemson on the Emory INT where George allowed the defender to under cut his route and he made the...

Colbie cuts outside when he had the inside leverage for a slant and thus putting two receivers and 3 defenders in the same area……

    Vertical routes between the hashes

I’ve never seen a team that runs so much (us) not use play action. Middle of the field behind the line backers is open all day.

    Vertical routes between the hashes

Yeah but every DB (with the exception of the safeties and the nickel covering X) is beat by our receivers. That top WR at the 50 cuts in on a slant, like you said, and Brashard has room as he beat his guy but TVD severely, again just like on the INT when X was open earlier, under throws the...

    Vertical routes between the hashes

Exactly! If that top receiver is not cutting in (slant), you throw it away to the top receiver where he threw the INT. He has nothing open here. That INT is on him in terms of the decision he made to go with the ball but that to me is on the OC just as much as TVD. He had all day to throw the...

    Vertical routes between the hashes

Just in that picture alone, the receiver at top of the screen at the 50 yard line, since he has inside leverage and the safety is way down field, he cuts that in as a slant, it’s an easy pitch and catch while also giving that receiver at the 47 doing a wheel route one less defender out there and...
