You're right, a jump cut is not necessary to find daylight, in that situation. Edge would just slide until he found daylight. It's just a nice tool to have in your bag, if you are quick enough to pull it off.

Not trying to be "That guy", but how can one have poor vision and clean jump cuts? Having good vision is being able to see when the jump cut is available. Those last two runs near the goalline.... if he had poor vision, he'd have just ran to the clogged gaps (where the plays was supposed to go)...
