Relax. I never said YOU said it, I said it has been used as the reason for no men’s golf team. Look no further than so many’s favorite Shalala for that very quote…actually one of your favorites as I recall back then.

No doubt, even for basketball. That reality shouldn’t change us trying to pay near the top end of the baseball spectrum, unless we can all admit we might have overpaid Mario. We have our football pays the bills programs…and some blue blood basketball runs the roost programs (Duke)…but what...

True point. To be honest too…kind of sickening to me, when Coach L is allegedly the 3rd or 4th highest ACC basketball coach after what he has done here, that our history of strong baseball resides with a bunch of pundits claiming we aren’t willing to spend that much on baseball. I’m not saying...

Well, I would disagree with Brown, but he isn’t being mentioned anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter. I would love to believe that we at least inquired.

Are you crossings your fingers because you know who he is hearing, or just certain whomever it is you will be happy.

I see it different in baseball, especially with a guy like Scott Brown, etc. Tulo would be more a risk with no head coaching experience, but he has a LOT LESS coaching experience. exactly…if we had an opportunity to be the first opportunity for Brown, I would be ecstatic to be his first stint...

Definitely a risk, though Tulo would be a true attention grabber for the program. I would be ok by McDonnell, just haven’t heard his name yet

Probably never usually smart for me to assume, but I am with Rad and an understanding that if he goes Tulo, a financial commitment will have to be made to surround him with experience.

I would have to believe he has an agent that won’t be on any lineup card who can relay any potential interest, though it seems very unlikely to me. We are though, despite our struggles of late like our football program, truly still a strong brand in college baseball. Regardless of the funds...

If not him, I hope they at least reach out to Scott Brown..even if they feel certain it would be a no. Apparently those in the “know” don’t even consider him a candidate for some reason…at least make the inquiry I would hop. Awesome that they possibly interviewed Tulo…that would definitely a...

Like so many other situations, it isn’t their fault that they were hired and/or retained for their most prized gig when maybe they shouldn’t have been. We would have all done the same thing and literally jumped at the opportunity…so great post. They did a good job, but there was always going to...

While there was a time I would believe our AD would completely overlook even reaching out to a guy like Brown, that is not now. That said, there are waaay too many boxes checked with him not to pound their inboxes with pleads to interview him, or at least ask. He ON PAPER at least would be the...
