James is what he is, an intriguing chess piece that has failed to live up to the hype. A guy that’s just ok in space, and someone that should be closer to the LOS at all times / asked to defend TE’s. Nothing wrong with that, but asking him to act as a traditional safety isn’t what he excels at...

JMO, that’s them just putting something out there. I think everyone knows it’s not going to be easy after just getting to Tulane + the LSU offer.

The quieter it is, the better for us imo. Again, think about Addison and Bear to USC. Guys that had destinations in mind and let the smoke settle. The LSU offer + deadline to enroll at Miami does create unique obstacles, but I’ll take silence as a good thing until told otherwise.

Him and Kam together with the corner additions, and our secondary has the potential to go from from scary bad with no depth, to “oh ****” Now you can move James closer to the LOS and let him do what he does best, which is attack downhill. Hopefully he’s willing to tackle now and can buy in.
