QP asked who the last WR not named Berrios who we recruited out of high school that got drafted was.

You can say that about half the quarterbacks that get drafted early every year. The reason the NFL keeps drafting Jimbo QBs is because he runs a pro style passing system and NFL scouts think they'll adapt to the pro game faster/easier than a guy who played in a wide open, one read, spread...

Also: I wasn't so much disputing your point about Mario. Just noting that Jimbo had/has a reputation as a good QB developer. Kellen Mond also was a 3rd round draft pick from A&M.

Jimbo was head coach for Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel at FSU as well is Jameis Winston.

He was way more productive than Anthony Schwartz was in college.

The question was “how many first round quarterbacks did they coach?” Not “how many guys did the turn into first round talent?”.

Harley is UM all time leader in receptions. He wasn’t a superstar but he was really productive.

Jimbo coached 3 first round quarterbacks at FSU and one while he was OC at LSU. Napier coached Anthony Richardson last year

I can’t think of a single coach who’s ever pulled back to back top 10 classes with back to back losing seasons. I don’t care how good of a recruiter you are or how much money you’ve got. You have to eventually start winning games to keep kids interested. If Miami goes 8-4, we’re almost...

Los Angeles shuts down at 2am too. I thought that was crazy the first time I went out there. When you’re talking about all night party cities in the US, it’s Miami, New York and Vegas.

I don’t necessarily disagree. The student seating point is valid too. UF has like 30,000 student seats for every game. UM only has like 12,000 undergrads total. My point is, die hard alumni fans are more likely to go to a noon game against a bad team than casual local fans who only care when the...

Funny you use USC as your example because they’re also a private school with a smaller alumni base. I’d say that 90% of the people at Hardrock on any given Saturday are from the tri county area. It’s mostly locals and handfuls of out of town alumni. When there’s 100,000 people at a Michigan or...

That's true but at huge public schools, a lot of the people going to games are alums. Miami doesn't have the huge alumni base that a state school has so most of their fans are just locals. The locals aren't usually as die hard as the alums.

Even the best Miami teams have struggled to draw crowds against weak opponents. Especially for the dreaded "noon kickoff". They'd sellout the FSU game and maybe another big name home game but the next week against Rutgers there'd be 35,000 people there. It's just a fact. Miami doesn't have that...

Let's not forget he attended the Spring Game with Trader who also really liked what he saw on offense. I'm telling you, kids will want to play in this system and as long as Mario accepts that, we'll be able to bring in the bigger names at WR. Dawson effect 100%
