Yep. We've played a lot of very close games, games that coulda gone either way. Fortunately, we've won almost all of them. Not THAT many emphatic opponent beatdowns. All good though. Just keep winning.

Looking at the Top 25 poll votes cast by Geoff Grammar of the Albuquerque Journal --the voter who had us at #25 -- six of his 25 votes were +5 or more off from the actual aggregate ranking. In UM's case, he was 10 slots off.

Well, we jumped 4 points in the right direction. I think voters still believe we're overachieving. All those close games in a down ACC year. Whatever ... I really like this team. If only we had another big we could spell/complement Omier with.

I agree on the lack of killer instinct. We really haven't put too many opponents of any note away this season. Anyone know what our record (ACC and overall) was after 21 games last season?

There's another 3-4 games we could have easily lost if we didn't know how to close out games. I'm more concerned over Omier starting to wear down a bit from playing so many tough minutes. Sure wish we had a good inside option to give him a few more blows during games. Beating VT and Clemson are...

Very true. Still, I don't have much of a problem with where we're ranked. IMO, we'd have a fighting chance against any of 13 teams ahead of us. By the same token, any of the 11 teams behind us in the Top 25 could beat us on a given night, not to mention some very good, unranked ones as well...
