Don't do that. Every big program has had an opening in the last 20 years. Yet no one seems to be interested in Mike Leach.

It only takes Mario out of contention if you count FIU, which isn't fair. If Mike Leach was capable of going into a big program and watching the recruits flock to him, he would have done it by now. Someone would have taken a chance.

I have not seen him in a while, at least on the baseball board. Yes, he is somehow involved with STA football.

I didn't say I expect anything. But you did say that he always turns programs around, and that isn't true. If he wasn't funny in press conferences and had a .595 career winning percentage with a traditional offense, no one would ever bring him up.

If Mike Leach had actually accomplished 1/10th of what is claimed on this board, he would have had more opportunities than Washington State and Mississippi State by age 61.

Revisionist history. He hasn't turned anything around at Mississippi State. They were 79-51 in the 10 years before Leach got there. 14-12 in the two years before he got there. He is 17-16 and is a sure bet to finish 1-2 with Georgia and Ole Miss on the schedule. He's a .500 coach at a 8-5...

So hire a guy who is going to go 7-5? Makes sense.
