It certainly would be a good strategy for lowering expectations. Do awful year 1 because ,you know, it's a " total rebuild." And then add 1-2 wins every subsequent year while stacking talent. Hard to argue with the chart when the curve is up-sloping...even if it does so ever so gradually. Keep...
