    Perspective on Mario start

So you're convinced that Manny could recruit and coach well enough to win 12 games in a P5 conference.

    Perspective on Mario start

9-3 is on the hype train? You're blasting Mario for going 10-3 last year. Now 9-3 is hype train? Typical CIS.

    Perspective on Mario start

Except that he didn't pick the players.

    Perspective on Mario start

Another CIS tradition: call out other posters rather than talk about the actual issues.

    Perspective on Mario start

One road win? He has a 12-win and 10-win season in three full years in a P5 conference. If a guy like that doesn't get more than four games to put a program together, then get used to bringing in a new coach every 3-4 years for the next 21 years, again. Because no one outside the top four guys...

Yes, it's every coaching staff. Nothing to do with the recruiting ground.

Dude. I didn't post in the off-season on the football board.

    Perspective on Mario start

See, I don't think it's a "talent" problem in the traditional sense of the word. I think it's a personnel problem, but it's more about the "when do I get paid" south Florida mindset than it is about physical talent. If a dude can fly and can catch balls at the combine but really doesn't care...

    Perspective on Mario start

I agree that dolts never learn. That's why Miami message boards have continued to whine about coaching for 21 years now. Players go 7-5, it has to be the coach. Coach is fired. Same players start 2-2, even with a new coach, and it still has to be the coach.

Run from it if you want, but if you're going to point out and giggle about a loss, you're kind of stuck with just a coach or two in football history.

So Kirby Smart is the only acceptable coach?

    Perspective on Mario start

Yes, the talent is there, which is the biggest sign that there is a culture problem.

    Perspective on Mario start

Typical CIS. Once you have it out for a guy, he can't do anything right. The guy had a bigger road win last year than we have had in 20 years. CIS response? "Meh, outlier. He lost to Stanford". So let's just keep rolling through guys every 3-4 years until Kirby Smart decides to come to Miami.

The three best coaches in college football had Yeah, it is a complete overhaul. Watch us play. The talent is not there.

We were also four bounces away from being 3-9. Again, if it's all about bad coaching, how did the exact same guy win 10 games and win in Columbus with what you think are lesser players?

    Perspective on Mario start

What, did I click a number in a poll? Another deep CIS analysis. 9-3 in the Coastal means you suck.

    Perspective on Mario start

That's been the thing that has divided message boards since the invention of the internet. You think it's 100% on the coach to "have his team ready". I understand motivation and know that you don't get a group of people ready when they don't care. And you can't just instantly replace the...
